Interforgia quick release pressure vessel clamps offer a well established means of assembling and securing split pressure vessels, man-lids, pipelines etc., and are extensively used on glass lined vessels, filter dryers, and other pressure vessels

Split flanges are a reliable and well proven replacement of loose backing rings, having the advantage of being applied after fabrication of conventional, glass or PFA lined pipe-work, and for securing sight glasses to glassed vessels.

MOUNTING:
Clamps are normally used to replace conventional bolting and are mounted on plain flanges machined to suit. They are retained on a ring so that they remain with the vessel. Split flanges can be used in lieu of conventional backing flanges, but may be retro-fitted or removed/replaced as required.

NOMINAL SIZES:
A wide range of sizes are available for clamps from M10 clamping from 13-24mm to M56 clamping from 380-420mm. Split flanges are available to suit both metric and ANSI pipe-work and nozzles from NB 25 (1”) to NB 300 (12”)

OPERATING CONDITIONS:
Depending on vessel design and the number of clamps used a wide range of pressures may be accommodated. Split flanges are normally rated for PN 16 bar up to NB150 and PN 10 above this.

MATERIALS:
Clamps: Carbon steel to ASTM 193GrB7 (24CrMo5) hardened and tempered, sand-blast, either self colour or passivated yellow zinc plated. Stainless steel to ASTM 193 GrB8M (316) solution treated, passivated, either as forged or polished.

Split flanges: Carbon Steel RSt 53.3 and RSt 37.2 (boiler plate), either self colour or passivated yellow zinc plate. Stainless steels AISI 316 or 304, solution treated, passivated.

Other materials and finishes on request.

CERTIFICATES:
- To DIN 50049, 3.1B are standard or TUEV available against extra charge.
